New Video -Windows on a Train

August/September 09'

Hello Friends!

Well, I am pleased to announce, YES, my next single is…. "Windows on a Train".

This song and the locations used in the clip are of great personal meaning to me, so I hope you enjoy all my hard work, through what was a very difficult time for me.

Enjoy, three days of filming and hard work for roughly 3 minutes!!! A huge thanks to my producer Ross, for all his effort on this magical clip!

I had a fabulous time portraying Janis Joplin at the 40th Anniversary Woodstock tribute in Canberra last month, a big thanks to everyone down there for their warm welcome!

I actually enjoyed performing Janis Joplin so much, I would do it all again tomorrow, not bad for someone who was so nervous about having such big shoes to fill, that I didn't know how I was going to make it onto to stage!!!, Luckily, the president of Team Victoria was there, my dear friend Jasper, calmed the nerves and was backstage for a well-earned, much needed hug after my performance!!!, I couldn't have done it without him!

Well I have been keeping busy with the release of the single, and preparing of course for Tamworth 2010. I have some very exciting news about my performances during the festival…but I have to keep something for next months news don't I ???

Looking forward to catching up with all my fans at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL, for the Hank Williams Birthday Bash this month!!!

Please be sure to get requesting the film clip on CMC website, this will help us climb the charts!!!

All my love as always

Victoria releases her third single "Windows on a Train" to Country Radio & CMC!!!

This month brings the release of Victoria's latest single "Windows on a Train" from her debut album "You'll Remember Me".

An emotional release for me McGee, Windows on a Train is a song of great personal meaning to McGee, "It’s amazing how things happen, Windows on a Train, has been a favourite of mine on the album, since I first listened to the demo tape from the writers. But it quickly became a song of very personal meaning for me in my relationship, and at the time we were deciding which single to release, let’s just say ironically the words became real in my life. The locations used in the clip, are all places of significance to that relationship, I wanted to share my personal feelings & pain, through what I love best, I wanted to convey to my fans, how I was feeling at the time, after all fans are like friends, so I wanted it to be real for them,” says Victoria.

A mammoth effort filming wise, again with Golden Guitar award winning producer Ross Wood, the clip was filmed over 3 days at 5 different locations, this is clip that leaves you wanting to watching it over again and again!

We would like to thank Hunter Valley Gardens for allowing us to film in their stunning grounds! Also a special thanks to the staff and The Menzies Hotel Sydney for use of their very famous Piano Bar.

The release comes in perfect timing for McGee, who later this month will reveal an exciting schedule during Tamworth Country Music Festival 2010.

Don’t forget, we NEED your HELP, please get requesting at

www.countrymusicchannel.com.au/cmc/requests.aspx

We hear a whisper CMC will be running a CD Give -Away with 10 personally autographed copies of McGee's debut album "You'll Remember Me" up for grabs, keep checking in at www.countrymusicchannel.com.au

"Woodstock 40th Anniversary Tribute Concert"

A busy trip to our nation's capital Canberra last month, saw McGee, with a hectic 3 day schedule.

First stop was to catch up with local country radio hero and nationally acclaimed presenter Mike Crozier, for a "song by song" interview on her album. Friday kept her busy with two interviews, at one of the capital's favourite stations "Artsounds" and live at ABC Studios with Louise Maher for her "4 o'clock Drive" segment, appearing on both interviews with local blues legend Chris Harland, both artists performing live, with McGee belting out her version of the Joplin classic "Me & Bobby McGee".

After catching up with her band, featuring some of Canberra's most seasoned talents, for a brief rehearsal on Friday night, Victoria had a great vibe from her muso's and was looking forward to taking to the stage the following night!

However, word backstage of a sell-out crowd of baby-boomers with high expectations and media personalities, was enough to get the nerves going, BUT with a little encouragement from one of the team, Jasper was able to calm the nerves and get McGee ready behind the curtain to open with the acapella classic "Mercedes Benz". With the thunderous applause that followed, Victoria and her band, knew they had their stamp of approval from Janis fans, making the rest of their set a real "Woodstock" experience, earning McGee and the band reviews such as "Victoria IS Janis!".

Will we have to wait another ten years to see Victoria in action performing Janis, perhaps not with McGee anything is possible WATCH THIS SPACE!
