At just 24 years of age, this dynamic talent hails from Newcastle, NSW.
Victoria McGee has been singing since the age of eight and entertaining professionally in Sydney and surrounding areas since age 14. Victoria was first trained by Melbourne based entertainer “Matt O’Connor”, moving on to further her studies of "contemporary singing" at Newcastle Conservatorium. Currently Victoria studies vocal techniques in Sydney on a weekly basis.
Victoria has been a special guest at various sporting events including NRL Games, NBL Game and NSW Boxing Championships.
Victoria is a versatile performer who loves performing all styles of music from Cabaret, Contemporary & Musical Theatre, but her first love is Country and she can yodel too!
Performing professionally for the past ten years, Victoria has entertained in some of Sydney’s most prestigious venues including Sydney Harbour Cruises, Star City Casino and many others.
In 2004 Victoria was crowned “Contemporary Country Singer Of The Year” in the McDonalds Challenge in Sydney. Victoria has had many career highlights. She first appeared on National Television at age 13, performing as “Opening Artist” on the 1997 NBN Telethon. She headlined alongside acts such as “The Seekers” and “Grace Knight.”
Early in 2005, Victoria was selected as one of the “Top 5” in her age category on Channel Ten’s “The X Factor”, 10,000 people auditioned for the show. Victoria was invited back to the show to perform as special guest on the "Grand Final" Show which went live to air in May 05'.
In June 2005, Victoria auditioned for “Australian Idol,” she was successful again. Victoria was selected as one of the “Top 30” contestants in Australia, 25,000 people auditioned for the show. (Also successful for Channel 9’s “Star Struck”– Due to prior commitments with Channel Ten she was unable to star in the show).
In 2005 Victoria was offered a Lead Role at “Universal Studios” in Osaka, Japan.
In 2006 Victoria was placed second in Australia at the "National Country Music Championships", competing to represent her Newcastle Champion of Champions Title.
Recently, Victoria completed recording her first album on the sunny Gold Coast with Legendary Nashville Guitarist and Record Producer Louie Shelton. Over the past several decades you would have heard Louie's signature guitar riffs and solos on more hit records than any other session guitarist in history. While there are too many to mention, some of his classics include, Boz Scaggs' "Low Down", Lionel Richie's "Hello", Neil Diamond's "Play Me", The Jackson Five's "I Want You Back", "ABC" and "I'll Be There, The Monkees' "Last Train To Clarksville" and "Valerie". Louie's production credits include Gold & Platinum albums for Seals & Croft & Lionel Richie.
Victoria's album features eleven tracks from some of Nashville's top songwriters who have penned hits for Sara Evans, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Terri Clark, LeAnn Womack, Trisha Yearwood George Strait and Many More, was released during her sell out shows at Tamworth Country Music Festival 08'.
Victoria's album "You'll Remember Me" was released during Tamworth Country Music Festival 08' and has proved to be very popular among country music fans throughout Australia.
In April 08' Victoria performed as a headline act at the Heart & Sole line dance ball at Homebush Bay.
May 08' saw her invited to Tamworth as the only country music artist to perform at the Annual Ashby House Line Dance Festival, performing for at least 1000 line dancers from Australia & New Zealand and Singpore.
Victoria also headlined the prestigious "Lovedale Long Lunch" in the Hunter Valley Vineyards.
She sets sail later this year, onboard P&O's luxurious cruise liner the Pacific Dawn, as a headline act on the "SEASCOOT" country music cruise.
